Education / Qualifications: Bachelor s or Master s degree in Public Health Informatics, Health Informatics, Health Information Management, Public Health, Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field.
Experience:
Preferably 5+ years of experience supporting healthcare or public-health information systems, health-data platforms, reporting systems, or surveillance environments.

Roles and Responsibilities: The Public Health Informatics SME will serve as the functional bridge between public-health stakeholders and the technical implementation team.
The resource will analyze current surveillance workflows, data sources, data structures, reporting requirements, business rules, and operational processes. The SME will translate public-health and epidemiologic requirements into clear functional and technical requirements for solution architects, data engineers, developers, BI resources, and QA teams.
The resource will support standardization of data structures, processing logic, monitoring rules, alerts, reporting requirements, and documentation. The SME will also support validation, stakeholder review, training, knowledge transfer, and future surveillance expansion planning.
