Crescent Academy is seeking a flexible, supportive, friendly full time Social Worker! Must have Masters' School Social Work License. Crescent Academy is a school district that serves over 500 students in grade level PreK-12th. Crescent Academy believes in the whole child approach which means that academy staff assists students and their families in bettering their outcomes by creating a college bound culture that expects and teaches strong character, academic achievement, and civic engagement. Students from all cultural backgrounds and all walks of life attend Crescent Academy. We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated School Social Worker to join our team. The School Social Worker will provide comprehensive social work services to students, families, and staff in a school setting. They will work collaboratively with school personnel to identify and address social, emotional, and behavioral issues that impact student success. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in social work, a deep understanding of child development, and a passion for supporting the social, emotional, and academic success of students. Responsibilities: Provide direct services to students, such as counseling, crisis intervention, and group work Conduct assessments and develop intervention plans for students with social, emotional, and behavioral needs Collaborate with school personnel to develop and implement programs that promote a positive school climate and student success Consult with teachers, parents, and community agencies to address student needs and concerns Provide support and education to families on a variety of issues, including parenting skills, communication, and community resources Monitor and maintain accurate and timely records of services provided and student progress Participate in school-based teams and committees to address student needs and promote school-wide initiatives Stay current on best practices and trends in school social work and related fields Maintaining a safe and positive environment for all students Maintaining effective communication with students, parents, and school staff Regular and predictable attendance Requirements: Master's degree in Social Work from an accredited program Valid state licensure as a school social worker Temporary or full approval as a social worker Experience working with children and families in a school setting Knowledge of social, emotional, and behavioral issues that impact student success Ability to work collaboratively with school personnel, families, and community agencies Strong communication and interpersonal skills Ability to maintain confidentiality and adhere to ethical standards Flexibility and adaptability in a fast-paced and dynamic environment.
